Officer, Financial Markets & Treasury Job at Westpac Group – in Sydney NSW
As an Officer Financial Markets and Treasury, you will be responsible for managing and resolving discrepancies for Material Terms and Mark to Market Valuations for in scope products and counterparties for Portfolio Reconciliation. Your role is to review valuation discrepancies above the reportable threshold daily and escalates disputes to Compliance and Group Regulatory Affairs.
The key focus of this role is being a dynamic team player with the ability to provide a high-quality service to both internal and external customers in a fast-paced environment. You will work within a team that is focussed on increasing customer satisfaction, developing a high performing/skilled workforce and cost-efficient business practices. You will operate in accordance with Compliance & Privacy requirements and manages operational risk effectively.
The role is a 12-month fixed term contact and is based in Sydney, standard business hours.

What do I need?
Ideally, you will be from a similar role with experience in financial markets, foreign exchange, and treasury.
To be successful in this role you will require the following:
3-5 years industry experience in an Operation environment
Additional product knowledge advantageous (Foreign exchange, commodities, options and money market transactions)
Excellent focus on attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of financial markets and financial instruments
Ability to work autonomously and be part of the broader team
Prior knowledge and experience of working within a control environment
Flexible team player with the ability to work under pressure.
