Your key responsibilities will include:
Provide technical input on requirements building and technical implementation and l eading/participating in meetings at the operational and project level and providing feedback on project status
Review and sign off test results covering all Financial Reporting products such as distributions, Audit packs, Trial Balances, Financial Statements, BAS, Indirect Cost Ration, ABS reporting and AASB7 reporting.
Development and execution of test plans for a successful implementation along with automated testing capability and strategies to leverage global testing resources
Offering constructive options to ensure project tracks to original expectations
Facilitate forums to address the priority of reported enhancements and defects and the identification of the PIR to drive continual improvement
Managing go-live preparation including client/auditor engagement, procedures and control updates as well as training plans
To be successful you will need:
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline with at least 6 years’ experience in financial accounting/tax within financial and/or professional services
Solid experience in statutory reporting and applications of accounting standards in accordance with AASB &IFRS and tax reporting specifically in income tax returns and trust distribution calculations.
Effective planning and time management skills, with demonstrated initiative and proactive approach to managing dynamic workload and periodic overtime
Extensive system integration experience working with blended teams across multiple geographic environments along with gathering user requirements, building requirement documents and project roadmaps
Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including high emotional intelligence to partner effectively with stakeholders
Highly disciplined, self-motivated, and delivery-focused with ability to work independently and the ability to prioritize efforts according to business needs
