Position Summary

The Transportation industry is evolving rapidly. The Bridgestone’s Digital Platforms organization will lead efforts through R&D, operationalizing and commercializing Bridgestone’s core digital technology and customer products. With strategic vision through this process and customer engagement, we continue to innovate and drive the emerging digital needs for the world’s largest tire and rubber company based out of the heart of Nashville.

Bridgestone is seeking a Portfolio Manager with a strong Agile and technical background to join a fast-paced Product Planning and Development team. Our Portfolio Manager will collaborate with our Business Stakeholders, Digital Platform teams, and Product Managers to drive new initiatives and manage needs for our dealers, fleets, and internal end users.


Utilizing an Agile approach, the Portfolio Managers will work with Digital Platform leaders and business stakeholders to manage the demand of new initiatives, value plays, cost and prioritization

Development of an aggregated portfolio roadmap strategy and budget planning with core product teams and business owners

Build strong partnerships with technology, product, finance, and business stakeholders to maintain and deliver against technology roadmaps

Oversee capacity management for all approved scope of work within their portfolio and making strategic recommendations for where and when there are gaps in resources or subject matter expertise

Develop, monitor and evaluate portfolio performance and KPIs

Take ownership in managing and ensuring successful delivery and operational outcomes across the portfolio by gathering status updates and escalating delivery risks when needed

Support development of change management initiatives, implementation strategy, and enabling tools/processes

Team player and pitch in wherever needed.

Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related or similar field

Minimum 3-5 years experience in portfolio or program management

Agile/SCRUM experience

Ability to execute and maintain high performance under tight timeline

Lead in ambiguity and/or with competing priorities

Superb written and verbal communication; advanced or expert PowerPoint and visual presentation skills

Critical thinker and problem solver

Fosters a sense of energy, ownership and commitment to work

Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal

5 years supporting marketing/digital programs or portfolios

Experienced with leading diverse teams and making decisions

Experienced with Azure DevOps

Experienced in orchestrating work between different groups across departments

High communication skills

Minimum Qualifications

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent work experience
