The opportunity

Right now, we have an opportunity for a Program Manager, Finance Systems to join Sydney Metro within the Corporate Services division.

The role is responsible for the development and implementation of a range of technical solutions that improve the quality and efficiency of reporting and other financial processes. The role will work closely with the Information & Technology division and seek to maximise the use of core Sydney Metro / TfNSW systems.

The role will collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business to leverage insights and formulate plans and activities. The ideal candidate will drive implementation and change management activities. The role is accountable for regular reporting to the Director, Finance Transformation, to inform key strategic decision making concerning the financial transformation for Sydney Metro.

Key accountabilities include:
Lead and oversee the use of standard Transport Cluster technology systems to drive efficiency and automation for financial processes

Develop capability across the division in implementing robust financial management processes, providing information and advice to ensure programs and projects are able to produce accurate, high quality financial data and reporting

Work effectively with respective divisions, including Finance, PMO and Commercial teams

Drive impactful and real change with buy-in from key stakeholders to synergise, standardise, reduce duplication, and leverage technology to improve and focus on community value

About you

You will have senior finance experience including managing transformative initiatives and change programs in large complex organisations especially in finance and finance systems.

You will have tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience. Ideally, you also have a strong grasp of how to influence and build relationships with senior leaders, financial business partnering and a commercial mindset with the public sector goal of community benefit.

Experience using Microsoft Visio, SAP and finance transformation is essential for this role.

This role is a full time temporary fixed term position until December 2023.
