How will I help?
The role sits within COO Finance and supports the change activities across COO in particular Group Operations (GO) and Corporate Services (CS) The team’s focus includes:
Providing high quality financial support and insights to aid decision making over the end-to-end project lifecycle.
Insights to optimise the group’s investment spend.
Driving improvements in financial control and advice
As the Project Fiance Manager you will be reporting to the Senior Project Finance Manager, this is an integral role responsible for financial analysis and modelling for the GO & CS Change portfolio.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to;
Lead and work with stream leads, project managers and stakeholders to provide robust project financial profiles, forecasts and insights that support decision making.
Engage with key stakeholders and provide regular project financial updates and forward-looking insights to call out any early risks/issues and opportunities.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other finance counterparts, project/ program managers, IT and Project Management Office and other stakeholders.
Lead the development, validation, and critique of the financial components of the business case.
Forecasting and planning with clear business assumptions and driver inputs.
Provide analysis of variables to delivering the project and provide sensitivity analysis to the financials including cash spend, benefits, ongoing opex and P&L impact for various scenarios.
Ensure compliance to Enterprise Project Governance and Execution frameworks and methodologies
Ensure appropriate quality control in place.
Lead process improvements and analysis on areas including cost of change, capitalised software, benefit profiles and other analysis as required
What do I need?
CA/CPA qualification or similar preferred
5 + years of relevant experience
Financial Services sector experience is preferrable
Strong understanding of priorities and key issues for projects throughout a project life cycle.
Project Accounting experience beneficial.
Proven experience in analysis and reporting
