Job Description Summary: PayPal’s Global Credit Risk, Seller Risk & Collections (GCSC) team is seeking a Risk Analyst to manage the Policy and Procedure infrastructure for Global Seller Risk (GSR). This position will work closely with GSR Policy Owners, Business Risk and Control Leads (BRCLs), Business Owners, Strategy Partners, and Second Line of Defense (SLOD) to understand and implement specific requirements associated with strategies, operational changes, and shifts in the regulatory/jurisdictional landscape that result in changes to GSR’s Policy and Procedure
The Risk Analyst is responsible for working closely with Business Owners, BRCLs, Policy Owners, Strategy Partners, and SLOD to manage the Policy and Procedure infrastructure within GSR. The Risk Analyst manages intake of Policy and Procedure amendment requests, as well as requests associated with net-new documentation. Understanding nuances within the request, how changes or new requirements impact the larger GSR ecosystem, and engaging with appropriate stakeholders, owners, and approvers are core requirements for the this role. This role is also responsible for maintaining the GSR Policy and Procedure repository, effectively tracking and recording all changes, and driving Policy and Procedure periodic updates in accordance with Policy Governance Policy requirements.

Attend strategy calls, schedule process walk-throughs, and serve as credible challenge throughout documentation process.
Provide periodic updates on project status and escalate potential issues to senior management and assist with resolution.
Ensure critical deadlines are met.
Establish strong partnerships with stakeholders that will enable the team to meet business objectives.
Your day to day
Execute on all GSR Policy and Procedure requests
Work collaboratively with all partners and stakeholders to understand business requirements and align on stakeholder expectations
Understand impact of Policies and Procedures to the Control Environment.
Accurately track and report on all Policy and Procedure requests.
Facilitate periodic review of all approved Policies and Procedures in accordance with the Policy Governance Policy
What do you need to bring
Strong analytical skill – must be able to analyze complex data, draw meaningful/accurate conclusions, and translate to governed documentation
Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to devise and execute on requirements, leveraging risk management experience and technical writing experience
Ability to approach problems in a quantitative and qualitative manner, and partner with the business to understand their needs, and drive solutions
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Basic knowledge of internal systems & software a plus (examples: Kana, Intranet, web-based applications)
Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements for merchants, products, and customer experience preferred
Familiarity with Financial Services / FinTech Operations
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
