An exciting opportunity is now available for a risk management specialist to join our team. As a subject matter expert, you will partner with your business portfolio to provide risk management expertise, support, advice and challenge your stakeholders to consider all decisions through a risk mitigation lens.
You will also contribute to Crown’s Risk Management Framework and ongoing enhancement of associated tools.
Some responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
Execute, implement and continuously improve the Risk Management Framework.
Work with your business portfolio to operationalise risk appetite, facilitate workshops and training sessions and increase risk literacy and awareness.
Provide support and expertise to the business with regard to policies, procedures and projects – providing a risk perspective and working collaboratively to enhance integration and group wide consistency.
Identify key controls, working effectively with Audit and the business to rectify any gaps or deficiencies.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Control Framework
Review and manage risk issues and compliance incidents, verifying completion of resolution activities and closure of issues.
Assist in the preparation of Risk Management Committee and Company Board papers.
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of 5 years previous experience in a Risk Management role within a large and complex organisation
Excellent verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to build trust and credibility amongst a diverse group of stakeholders
Strong written communications skills with previous experience preparing documentation for presentation to Executive level management
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Risk Management, or other relevant discipline
Strong problem-solving ability coupled with the ability to think innovatively.
