RVP, Senior Consultant (Investment Wholesaler) Job at Invesco – in Edmonton, AB

Job Purpose (Job Summary):
The Regional Vice President, Senior Consultant will build long-standing trusted partnerships with clients that maximize long-term holdings of Invesco products and solutions. Serving as the face of Invesco to clients, you will be an integral part of furthering the client journey. You will engage clients as a consultant, adding value both as an investment partner and a business building and practice management advisor.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Develop differentiated client relationships, including expanding existing client relationships and developing new profitable relationships to reach maximum market share with the advisor community including family offices and private investment counsels.

Approach client interactions as a consultant, starting with client needs and effectively leveraging internal resources needed to meet those needs:

Including delivering insight-based education, business/practice management expertise, coaching, and portfolio construction consultations.

Perform portfolio construction and manager selection consultations to clients with varying technical expertise.

Deliver a combination of organic sales growth, asset retention, and client loyalty scores within assigned territory

In conjunction with regional team and sales leadership, develop the annual sales plan, strategies and actions needed to meet or exceed sales objectives.

Establish and maintain the required call frequency and event schedule needed to meet and exceed client’s expectations and related sales objectives.

Represent Invesco at industry and key client events to further position Invesco as a premier provider of enduring solutions.

Work Experience / Knowledge:
5+ years of asset management sales success targeting financial advisors, family offices and private investment counsels.

A proven ability to develop and execute on a strategic business plan.

Including effective client segmentation, resource allocation, internal network relationship building, and the effective deployment of internal stakeholders within a team-based environment.

A growth mindset with a business-owner mentality.

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
Consultative, client first approach, delivering solutions, not products, to meet client needs and drive results.

Excellent listening skills with a natural inclination to focus on client needs coupled with strong presentation and communication skills.

A digital and data-driven mindset to develop and execute on a strategic business plan, including the adoption of technologies that improve efficiency and lead to an enhanced client experience.

Technical investment expertise including superior knowledge of mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs and their competitive landscape and in-depth understanding of Capital Markets and the impact of economic factors.

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

An Undergraduate degree is required and/or equivalent work experience

License/Registration/Certification: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

Completion of the CSC is required.

Progress toward a CFP, RFP is preferred.

Additional professional designations (CIM, CFA, etc.); an asset.

Working Conditions:
Home office required.

Some travel required.
