Due to growth we are recruiting for a Sales Ledger Assistant to join our Finance team in Leeds, you will be the client facing side of the invoicing team, raising and issuing client invoices, backups, credit notes and statements in line with client expectations and internal targets. You will maintain accurate and up to date client account data on client invoicing system and help to resolve any queries clients may have by building positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders representing Hermes in a professional, approachable and friendly light.
What you’ll also do;
Resolving client queries by email and telephone within the SLA (query response in 48hrs)
Timely and accurate allocation of receipts so that weekly account reconciliation is on time
Setting up and maintaining customer accounts by working with Client Dev, Sales Team and customer directly
Produce statements and account reconciliations in support of a portfolio of 2000 customers, covering £900m of invoices
Provide cover and assist the Credit Controller in chasing debt by phone and email and issuing debt letters in accordance with company credit and debt policy and client contracts
Preparing and collecting DD payments for SME clients – circa £1m per week
To be successful you will already have some experience within a finance team dealing with client invoicing, you will have Intermediate Excel skills required for report input and production, and investigating billing queries. You will be customer focussed and be able to build positive relationship in order to deal with day to day queries from within Hermes and from our customers
Finance accreditation to AAT level 3 or equivalent is desirable
