Risk Management is responsible for protecting the Group’s interests by offering insightful risk leadership and a commercial yet independent approach to managing risks. The Board and Regulators trust Risk Management to be the line of defence that ensures returns are achieved within an acceptable level of risk.
Here in Retail Banking Services Risk Management, we are looking for a Senior Analyst Provisioning & Forecasting to deliver accurate and insightful credit provisioning, and forecasting for all Bankwest retail products to aid in decision making, duties include:
Monthly reporting of Loan Impairment Expense (LIE) to Retail Banking Services, the Bankwest Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and CBA Group Loan Loss Provisioning Committee (LLPC) together with insightful commentary
Maintaining, executing and enhancing the Collective Provisions (CP) programs which are used in LIE Expense reporting
Use forecasting tools for LIE Plan across key Retail segments
Engage with key stakeholders to detail the underlying drivers of LIE and CP
Working closely with Risk Systems and Enterprise Services technology teams on the quarterly macroeconomic updates and enhancement of IFRS9 compliant, CP models
Support management and providing LIE insight analysis on provisioning movements
Work productively together with your team to meet deadlines
We’re interested in hearing from people who
Are interested in risk management and banking industry. Able to adapt and grasp new skills and content quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Ideally have financial services experience, but open to people from other sectors such as Insurance, Telecommunications, Utilities etc.
Have 1-3 year’s relevant working experience, with an academic background in mathematics/statistics/actuarial science/applied finance.
Are proficient in using Excel & SQL for data analysis, with other languages beneficial (R/Python) in sourcing data, joining and deriving insights from disparate data sources
Have strong business acumen with excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication
Challenge the status quo and look for opportunities for continuous improvement
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy whilst working to competing priorities
Can manage multiple pieces of work to tight timeframe when required
