Senior Director, Finance – IFM Job at Sodexo – 3.7 in Boston, MA

Unit Description:
Sodexo is looking for a motivated and Corporate Real Estate and IFM experienced Senior Director of Finance to support our NorAm IFM business. This is a remote position, and the successful candidate may office anywhere in the Unites States.

The role will oversee day-to-day financial operations, account growth including providing financial leadership & support to the existing team of Finance professionals at the account level business.). This Position reports directly to CFO with strong alignment to the EVP, Corporate Services Integrated Facilities Management (IFM).

The successful candidate will:
Provides overall financial leadership for the Corporate Services IFM division, including delivery of annual financial plan, alignment to overall Segment strategy, successful implementation of key projects and initiatives, building commercial relationship with internal stakeholders and clients’, and providing leadership and effective management to the operational finance teams

Partners closely with the Senior Director of Commercial Finance & Pricing for shaping and executive the strategy associated with Business Development and Retention activities.

The position will ensure sustained business growth meets or exceeds financial targets established by Senior Leadership and aligned to Sodexo’s 3-year Strategic Plan.

Engages throughout the CRE business development process for large, complex client agreements in order to proactively ensure optimal profitability and risk mitigation for Sodexo prior to CEO/CFO review and approval

Drive action plans and provide monitoring of the performance enhancing key initiatives across the Segment.

Ensures full alignment with Group Finance policies processes and procedures.

Engages positively with all Client employees through the bidding process requiring robust relationships to be built quickly based on honesty and knowledge; requiring strong influencing and coaching skills supported by listening and communication skills.

Aligns segment and finance strategic priorities for commercial and operational finance activities at regional level, ensuring the needs of the segment are met by Transversal Finance in the region and countries.

Ensures transparency and timely alignment for the stage gate approval processes, solution mobilization, and contract management activities.

Ensures alignment with Service Operations for the development and maintenance of process, tools, and systems necessary to support business development activities.

Assists in building a culture of accountability and financial acumen across the Segment: ensuring the Group Financial policies are known, understood and applied; and ensuring managers understand and apply the key financial performance ratios.

Contributing to Global financial leadership and driving the performance of the Finance function to support delivery of the segment goal and ambitions.

Applies Group Finance policies, processes and procedures for financial control and reporting.

Participates fully as a member of Segment Finance Team, providing input to set the Segment Finance policies, procedures and processes in key areas of responsibility.

Maintains efficient ways of working with all Finance stakeholders (Global Finance Segment, Region Transversal Finance and Service Operations Finance) to ensure consistency and that all segment needs for financial support and direction are met.

Technical Duties and Responsibilities:
Partnering with Operations and Strategic leadership to develop the long-term strategic plan for NorAm.

Developing and maintaining planning and budgets, in accordance with Group and NorAm’s templates, process and tools, including analysis and interpretation of trends.

Leading and coordinating management and financial reporting for the incumbent’s Segment that facilitates early and “right first time” decision making

Managing department financial forecasting, statistical reports, and expense/labor tracking.

Ensuring that the assets, liabilities, revenues, and operating expenses of the Company have been fairly reported in conformity with IFRS and Company accounting policies.

Ensuring that reporting reflects conformance with Sodexo’s standard policies and procedures.

Reviewing internal audit reports for major or recurring problems.

Managing capital expenditures and maximizing cash flow for the incumbent’s area of responsibility.

Monitoring compliance with the existing system of internal controls, evaluating the adequacy of existing internal control systems, and developing recommendations to improve the internal control environment.

Interacting with Internal Audit, and Corporate Security to address internal control issues and assessments.

Supporting initiatives to meet the needs of Sodexo acquisitions and mergers.

Providing financial support in proforma development for new business, rebids and new alliance opportunities and ensuring that those proformas are budgeted in the same way.

This position is paying a starting salary between the range of $107,800 to $251,800 + Annual Incentive Plan

Position Summary:
Develops pricing strategies to meet customers’ needs while providing a profit for the organization. Determines core business costs of service in support of pricing/tariff development. Designs, implements and maintains pricing infrastructures. Evaluates effectiveness of pricing strategies and modifies pricing structures as needed.
