Senior Finance Business Partner and Deputy s.151 Job at Huntingdonshire District Council – in Huntingdon
The council has effectively managed its budgets and continued to provide services even though government support has significantly reduced over the past few years, the Business Finance team play a pivotal role in supporting the council in maintaining financial sustainability by delivering policies, procedures and practices.
This post will be leading the Finance Business Partnering Team, who are responsible for providing an efficient and effective finance support service, including budget monitoring, budget setting and accounts closure. You will be able to work with customers, both internally and externally in the council; support the development of the Financial Management System, together with supporting the Chief Finance Officer, as the deputy S.151.
We are seeking candidates who are qualified and have experience in managing a finance team in delivering robust financial budgets and forecasting within a complex and changing financial environment within the public sector landscape. Together with experience of producing statutory financial accounts in line with the required accounting standards relevant to the public sector.
