Senior Financial Analyst Job at Material Handling Systems Inc (E) – in Louisville, KY

The Sr. Financial Analyst, Corporate Functions position is responsible for providing financial insight and support for Material Handling Systems, Inc. This financial analysis role is responsible for constructing and consolidating financial forecasts/plans based upon routine activities, strategic projects and diverse team initiatives. This role is also responsible for performing trend analysis, providing investment decision support and maintenance of the monthly reporting/forecasting system. This position reports to the Financial Planning & Analysis Director and interacts with other members of the MHS FP&A team to share best practices and help drive Finance initiatives.

Partners with corporate departments to provide financial reporting and analysis

Supports the annual operating budget process

Monitors and prepares monthly forecasts

Reviews general ledger detail and provides reporting on financial variances

Works closely with accounting during month-end and year-end close processes

Prepares monthly KPIs and financial reports

Assists with the preparation of ad-hoc reporting as needed by the management team

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related technical discipline

3-5 years of progressive work experience in Finance

General ledger experience required

Excellent analytical skills; ability to analyze, interpret and summarize data

Strong work ethic and ability to develop relationships across the organization

Detail Oriented, professional demeanor and strong organization skills

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Proficiency with ERP & BI Platforms

Experience with project-based and discrete goods finances

Experience with financial software such as Adaptive & Workday Financials or similar tools
