Job Overview:
As a key partner working closely with Engineering/Product, Finance & Procurement leaders, this role will work to execute a variety of workstreams aimed at improving Coupang’s AWS cloud visibility & cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Analysis:
Provide strategic finance support on cloud related projects & initiatives across 32 engineering departments, such as ROI analysis, TCO analysis, Buy vs. Build & implementation break even analysis
Build load driven AWS forecast models that allow quick re-estimate of cloud spend based on changing business requirements
Lead AWS Key performance indicator tracking initiatives, monitoring AWS spend to key business metrics performance
Further drive AWS reporting & forecasting automation and simplification
Operational:
Reviewing cloud capacity request from engineering and providing cloud cost optimization recommendations where applicable
Support company reserved instance strategy, routinely monitoring RI coverage and supporting RI purchase origination process as it relates to idle RI prevention & RI savings yield optimization
Partner with platform team to drive overall company resource CPU and Memory utilization improvement
Leveraging Coupang AWS cost data to do benchmarking analysis—identifying outlier services that require provision revisiting
Build data driven insights that help shape and champion company wide cloud governance policy
Experience
5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis in a fast-paced technology-oriented organization.
Experience with SQL queries, Tableau & organizing large datasets
Experience leading and developing financial models, creating new financial processes, models and tools.
Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with non-financial leaders in technology. Ability to articulate complex cloud & financial topics clearly.
Strong MS-Office skills (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and experience with SAP.
Preferred 2+ years experience with at least 1 public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) with working knowledge of cloud technology & cloud cost drivers
