Wayfair is looking for a highly analytical, strategically-minded Senior Manager to lead the Technology, Visual Media, and Supplier Advertising Strategic Operational Finance teams, owning all Finance responsibilities for these verticals. As a central member of these leadership teams, you will provide financial visibility and guidance for making better strategic and operational decisions. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with a strong analytical background who enjoys tackling new challenges in a fast-paced, growing environment.

The Strategic Operational Finance team works closely with Finance and Accounting teams while also collaborating with business partners across Technology, Media, and Advertising to improve our ability to monitor, communicate, and influence the financial health of the business. Our purpose is to enable our business to grow and operate more efficiently and profitably.
Responsibilities include:

Serve the CFO function for the Technology organization, as well as the Visual Media and Supplier Advertising businesses, influencing decisions through analysis and modeling to ensure business partners meet the financial objectives of the organization
Own the P&Ls, working cross-functionally to optimize profitability, establish financial goals and evaluate new strategies
Own the quarterly business planning process, coordinating across the organization to align on targets and ensure accuracy and accountability
Establish frequent communication of performance trends, risks and opportunities, built on a deep understanding of key business drivers, with insights and analyses that drive actionable recommendations
Strong stakeholder collaboration to ensure successful end-to-end understanding of business performance, strategies, processes, and planning
Coach, mentor and develop the team, including hiring and providing career development planning and opportunities

Skills and Experience:

7+ years of work experience in strategic finance, investment banking, management consulting, or private equity strongly preferred; including management experience
Ability to ‘tell the story’, persuasive communicator who can summarize and clearly articulate complex concepts, including effectively convey insights from analyses to other senior leaders
Demonstrated strategic, creative and critical thinking skills
Ability to break down complex business problems into discrete analyses and use data to make informed business decisions
Superb attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced environment
Ability to drive complex projects to completion using effective project management, communication, and influence; strong ownership of tasks/deadlines/projects
Ability to build strong relationships, working productively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and executive management
