OVERALL PURPOSE

This is a newly created role for an individual who has a keen eye for detail to ensure that our technical environment is safe and secure for our employees and customers to transact within. In this exciting hands-on role you will work with various teams at Lulalend to collaborate, problem solve and come up with innovative solutions to problems faced.

You will be responsible for our hardware procurement and asset management, production monitoring and security control capability as well as motivate for and implement monitoring tools and services. You will work in areas such as integration and security across platforms (infrastructure and software), monitoring technologies, and OS patching.

Responsibilities will include:
SRE:
Utilise your keen technical expertise to provide operational support across the business for production stability and accountability for:

Infrastructure and application support

Observability and monitoring technologies

Cloud services (Azure) and technologies

Reduce manual duties through automation and operational risk

Improve application and system stability

Support our Engineering team by extending and utilising environment and product automation technologies

SecOps:
Be the go to person for all Information Security matters

Keep up to date with the latest business threats faced by Lulalend or the global finance industry

Look at external sources (service logs, edge network, 3rd parties, etc.) to identify key vulnerabilities and patches to prioritise vulnerability remediation implementation

Manage patching and vulnerability by producing reports and using security tools

Help contribute towards the Lulalend Cyber Security function and mentor the Lulalend teams

Governance:
Follow the Agile Delivery Methodology

Align work that needs to be done with the capability and capacity of the delivery teams by collaborating with various stakeholders in the organisational planning and budgeting processes

Create plans of feature delivery by collaborating with our Product Owners

Identify, monitor, and escalate risks

Motivate for and implement monitoring tools and services

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Degree/Diploma in IT related field or equivalent

2-3 years experience in a similar role

Experience working as part of a SaaS/Web/PaaS product team or in a software development environment

Experience effectively engaging with stakeholders across various teams

Experience establishing, improving and driving adherence to processes

Knowledge of cloud-based collaboration tools

Experience of software development lifecycles

Excellent communication and presentation skills
