We are seeking a Staff Accountant for our Corporate Office to work closely with our asset management and property management accounting teams but also have direct access to every segment of the company

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position, working from our corporate headquarters in Westlake Village. We’re looking for a consistent weekly schedule but can offer flexibility in work hours.

About the Position:

The Staff Accountant – Corporate Office is responsible for performing assigned general accounting duties and providing office support in an efficient and professional manner.

What will you be doing?

PREPARE:Formulate and review financial documents, reports, and statements

CRUNCH THE NUMBERS:Complete monthly bank reconciliations for entity accounts

ANALYZE:Support the financial statement completion, including monthly variance analysis and accounts reconciliation

PROCESS:Perform various compliance duties, such as: Assist with preparation of annual 1099 reporting for all non-property entities. Assist with preparing for financial audits and income tax filings.

ADMINISTRATIVE WORK: Perform various clerical duties such as word processing, data entry, copying, scanning, faxing, and collating.

COLLABORATE:Interact with multiple companies’ team members, including leadership

What do I need to Succeed?

EXPERIENCE:Prior accounting experience required. Prior knowledge of QuickBooks Pro desktop is helpful

STRONG WORK ETHIC: Attend work with regularity and punctuality and recognize that attendance is an essential duty and responsibility of this position.

OFFICE SKILLS:Operate standard office equipment to include calculator, computer with printer, scanner, copier, and postage machine.

ACCURACY AND DESIRE TO SUCCEED: Ensure all work is checked for completeness and performed with a high degree of accuracy.

INITIATIVE: Work with supervisor daily to prioritize work and communicate any concerns with meeting deadlines.

ORGANIZATION: Utilize a cloud-based server as a primary file repository. Ensuring attention to naming conventions and standard protocols for timeliness and saving files.
