This is a purposeful opportunity to join the Woolworths Procurement team, working on our procurement strategy on sustainability to create a better tomorrow. You will be responsible for building upon and executing the supplier diversity and sustainable procurement agenda.

This role will be critical in ensuring that the supplier diversity and sustainability strategy develops and is communicated clearly and concisely to both internal and external stakeholders. You will also work closely with the procurement team to develop category based solutions which support overall the sustainability strategy.

Reporting to the Governance Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:

Assist in developing supplier diversity spend growth goals with a focus on continuous improvement

Partner with internal and external stakeholders in identifying potential diverse suppliers

Develop and manage supplier diversity internal best practices, tools and templates

Design and communicate messages to increase awareness and engagement, convey policies and best practices related to supplier diversity and sustainability

Act as a trusted advisor and resource for Category Managers and Business Stakeholders

Work collaboratively with Category Teams and Business Stakeholders to assist with diverse supplier identification for sourcing and other opportunities

Create supplier diversity analytical reports and dashboards to monitor diverse supplier spend trends and performance to established goals

Improve procurement team’s diversity goals through coaching and capability development

Measure and deliver against Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for spend on diverse suppliers

Timely and accurate reporting on progress, risks and roadblocks

About You

We are looking for our next supplier diversity advocate for change with the following skills:

Tertiary qualifications in sustainability or related field

4-5 years of Procurement experience with functional experience on supplier diversity programs in a private, public, or government environment

Prior experience leading projects, analysing reports, and developing communications

Self-starter with ability to successfully navigate within a large business and work as an advocate for the function

Ability to build strong working relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills supported by the ability to use spreadsheet programs

Represent the Woolworths Group at supplier diversity events and conferences

Consumer market experience and retail experience is an advantage and outstanding academic record and social achievements; would be advantageous
