Overview:
The VP of Finance will provide leadership and expertise to GRIN’s finance team (Accounting, Billing Ops, Tax, and Finance) as it scales. They will be a seasoned finance leader who will bring rigor and discipline to the financial operations of the business; ensuring timely and accurate reporting to enable informed decision making. They will also think creatively and partner across the organization to ensure GRIN achieves their goals. This role will be critical in ensuring GRIN’s financial operations keep pace with and support the company as it scales.

Responsibilities:
Key Functions/Responsibilities:
Leading, recruiting, and developing the finance & accounting teams

Being a strategic partner to all Executive Team members

Responding to investor requests in partnership with the CFO

Owning the forecasting and budgeting process across all functions to ensure an accurate, always up to date operating model

Build an efficient financial reporting process which allows the Company to quickly and transparently report to all stakeholders (Management, Board of Directors, Investors) on performance

Implementing financial controls across all functions to manage and control costs

Overseeing the financial audit in partnership with the Controller while ensuring the company is ready for IPO or other potential scenarios

Continuously improve processes across accounting, AR, Order to Cash, and Finance

Qualifications:

A strategic thinker: you can quickly connect the dots from numbers/financials to strategy and have a proven track record of successfully partnering with operating leaders

Comfortable with ambiguity and change: you enjoy the fast pace and constant change of operating in a startup environment, and you love continuously developing new and better ways of doing things

Detail Oriented: You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves and developing a deep understanding of operations and the numbers that underpin them

A strong people manager with a track record of building, developing, and leading teams to perform at their best

Highly principled and with a sterling record of integrity: you’ve proven yourself as a trusted advisor and steward of resources to senior leadership and/or the boards of directors

Experience Required:
10+ years of relevant finance+accounting experience in roles of progressively increasing responsibility including VP/C level

Experience leading a company through IPO/SPAC/direct listing

Proven track record of success in helping to grow and scale finance+accounting teams in a startup environment

Strong financial modeling experience
